Considering this, are there string instruments in Hedwig’s theme?
The opening starts with strings in minor that switch to major. The main instrument is a solo cello followed by a solo violin an octave above it. Then, the melody is the full orchestra with all violins. At the very end, they use a Scandinavian-type instrument that’s like a harp.

Hedwig’s Theme is in E minor – which gives it a haunting feel. It is captivating because it teleport the audience to the world where it is impossible to live or come by (the world exist in fiction).
