Just like the Guitar Hero games, the lit notes are HOPOs (Hammer-ons and Pull-offs) and the transparent notes are Tap Notes. HOPOs require you to strum the first note of the sequence to not have to strum afterwards, but if you miss within the sequence you must strum again.
Just because a guitar is Chinese made does not mean it is poor quality. Far from it. The factories these guitars come out of have quality control and that is something many of the knock off outfits don’t have. I have seen and tried a fair few Chinese replica guitars in my time.
Turn the level knob up enough so that the volume sounds the same whether the pedal is on or off. This is called “unity” gain and you are now at a neutral position to start tweaking your tone. Turn the gain/drive/distortion knob up until it sounds “metal” enough for you. Tweak the tone controls a bit to taste.
If you play classical guitar, you’ll need a classical guitar capo. Steel-string acoustic guitars and electric guitars have narrower necks than nylon-string classical guitars. Most capos fit these narrower necks. So be sure to get a larger one made for classical guitars.

Use a lace (sold separately) by looping it through the pinhole of one end of the strap and tying it around the headstock of the guitar by the nut under the strings. Put the pinhole of the other end of the strap over the strap pin of the guitar. Classical acoustic guitars are not equipped with any strap pins.
