A Florida musician has announced he’s recovered from COVID-19 and will return to the stage with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Rickey Medlocke announced Thursday that he’s survived the illness and will perform with Lynyrd Skynyrd on Sunday in Wildwood, New Jersey.
Rosewood is a warm, sweet tonewood. Compared to maple the difference is notable, as rosewood will soften the sound, even for guitars with maple necks. This is one of the reasons some guitar players prefer Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters with the option of a rosewood fretboard.
Initially, Eddie used his own mixture of Fender strings, heavy on top, lighter on the bottom. This ended up not working very well, so instead Eddie Van Halen changed to a regular set of strings. He used Fender Heavy Strings to begin with, later on changing to Fender 150XL gauge strings.
Fairly easy to use and sounds good. I would like to see another option of this pedal with tap tempo delay and a tuner built in. I’d like for more of a Tube Screamer tone and a phaser instead of chorus but that’s just because of the stuff I play. Overall it’s a great pedal for less than $70.
