Nylon strings are used on classical guitars – steel string acoustic guitars are especially designed for steel strings and classical guitars are designed for nylon strings. Nylon strings produce far less tension (around 50% less) than steel strings so the construction of the guitars differs.
F310 is made up of normal wood where as F310p is made up of dried wood, which is indonesian mahogony if I’m not mistaken. The Sound difference is noticeable when compared with F310. Also with 310P you get yamaha’s kit containing capo, gig bag, strings, picks..etc etc.

This is a great guitar for the price. Really nice sound, nice action, looks good too. I have no complaints and would recommend to anyone looking for a decent classical guitar at a reasonable price. One sidebar recommendation would be to change the strings when you get it.
