Although many reviews will tell you the DR-100 has a solid spruce top, it does not. Solid top guitars are rare at this price point. Epiphone states the DR-100 has a select spruce top, which means laminate spruce.
It handles gain pretty well, but it distorts with very high gain. It’s rugged, not too heavy, but not too light that it will easily be knocked over. It’s cute, but sturdy, small, but powerful, pricey, but worth it if it’s what your looking for.

No one particular electric guitar stays in tune the best. Any guitar that is set up properly will hold its tune. However, guitars with certain characteristics such as locking tuners, a high-quality guitar nut, a fixed bridge, or a locking tremolo system will hold their tune better.

Use the wooden part to tap each of the preamp tubes and main power tubes. A good tube will be a dead ‘thud’ sound, so if you hear one that has a high ringing rattling sound, that’s the bad tube.
