Do you tune an electric guitar with the amp on or off?

As far as I know almost all tuner pedals mute the guitar signal when they’re activated. You push the foot-switch and it mutes your signal, no need to turn your amp on or off. However if you use a clip-on tuner you can just use a latching mute pedal while tuning your guitar.

Are RMS amps any good?

RMS values are usually lower than peak watts ratings, but they represent what a unit is truly capable of handling. Think of RMS power as the average power that a speaker can handle on a daily basis without compromising sound quality or experiencing any distortion.

Is Taylor Guitars a good place to work?

Taylor Guitars is a great place to work if you’re not necessarily looking to move up in your career. Leads and Supervisors come and go almost as fast as the latest trends. The benefits are great, the pay is OK, and the atmosphere is awesome. Just don’t expect to move up any time soon.

Why is my guitar buzzing at the first fret?

Generally speaking, if the buzz seems to be only at the 1st fret, that usually means the nut is too low, or the grooves in the nut have worn down too low. If the buzz is concentrated in the middle frets, 3rd to 9th, the truss rod may require adjustment.

Do ebony bridge pins make a difference?

Yes, they can make a surprisingly significant difference. I have an Adi topped guitar that turned shrill with bone pins and is a thing of wonder with ebony pins. Pins are generally cheap enough to experiment with so play around with some different types.
