“Up to eleven”, also phrased as “these go to eleven”, is an idiom from popular culture, coined in the 1984 movie This Is Spinal Tap, where guitarist Nigel Tufnel demonstrates an amplifier whose volume knobs are marked from zero to eleven, instead of the usual zero to ten.

This guitar is everything one could hope for in a solid wood mahogany instrument. I am impressed with the sound and play-ability right out of the box. The lows are “Rosewood rich”, and the highs are “mahogany bright” . . a really great balance. The volume/projection is really surprising.
